Founded in 1994, InnovMetric Software Inc. pioneered the market for point cloud inspection and polygonal manufacturing software solutions. A privately owned company, InnovMetric’s PolyWorks® inspection and modeling solutions are at work daily in more than 30 countries, providing users such as BMW, Boeing, Daimler-Chrysler, Ford, Porsche and Toyota with the most complete, accurate, and robust 3D point cloud processing software solution on the market.
CHALLENGE
InnovMetric wanted to offer the same CAD import capabilities in their products that are available from large software companies. They wanted to be able to compete in the market, and needed a reasonably priced, effective tool to help them accomplish these goals.
SOLUTION
InnovMetric found the answer to their problems in working with Spatial. Spatial’s InterOp components allowed them to offer high-end CAD import capabilities and increased their penetration to large automotive and aerospace accounts. After their initial implementation of the InterOp library in their application, they have reached a point where adding a translator now takes one day or less.
