Spatial Customer Lubansoft Releases Luban Steel v.12.1.0, Now with HOOPS 3D Visualization
Westminster, CO, USA, June 21, 2007 — Spatial Corp., a market-leading provider of 3D components, today recognized the recent release of Luban Steel v12.1.0 by its customer, Lubansoft, of China.
This release marks one of the first successful releases of a 3D component-enabled 3D AEC application in China. Luban Steel utilizes the HOOPS 3D Application Framework (HOOPS 3D/AF), created by Tech Soft 3D and sold by Spatial to produce real-time 3D steel and building model visualization. The addition of HOOPS in the latest edition of Luban Steel enables users to quickly check the structural elements and connections within steel structures. Lubansoft engaged Spatial’s Professional Services to assist with the integration, which provided a significant decrease in development time.
“We are the first AEC software developer in China to use 3D software components in our development process,” said Dr. Baoming Yang, CEO of Lubansoft. “By using the HOOPS components combined with Spatial’s services, we added powerful visualization tools while impressively reducing the development cycle over our last release. We plan to expand our use of components in our next release, which will include Spatial’s 3D Modeler, ACIS®.”
Lubansoft integrated much of the HOOPS 3D/AF component package, including:
- HOOPS/3dGS to create and manage graphic data.
- HOOPS/MVO and HOOPS/MFC for rendering and viewing operation.
The new 3D display addresses the poor visual expression of the previous 2D interface and alleviates data management and operational difficulties.
“Lubansoft’s adoption of the component software model provides them with affordable and powerful technology,” said Keith Mountain, CEO of Spatial. “As experts in the 3D component business, we are encouraged that Lubansoft recognized the business benefits of our product and service solutions. We look forward to expanding our relationship in the future.”
“Lubansoft represents the front end of a clear and emerging trend in the Chinese AEC market – a move toward robust components that enable the development of more powerful applications and more efficient use of R&D resources,” said Ron Fritz, co-founder and managing partner of Tech Soft 3D. “The HOOPS Framework, combined with expert services from Spatial will enable Lubansoft and many others to rapidly innovate and drive forward the booming AEC software market in China.”
